Dwellings is a small ecobuild/design company operating out of the Perth, Ontario area. We are heritage-trained carpenters who have turned an eye to the twenty-first century. We draw on Mediaeval examples, early North American techniques, historic and contemporary natural builders, and nature itself for inspiration and solutions in our quest to craft a beautiful dwelling to suit your vision.

We specialize in timber frame and strawbale construction and are open to all manner of green building techniques. We believe in designing a project to incorporate or reflect its environment. That, along with your building dreams, simple but aesthetically interesting design, and minimizing impact on the environment are the basis for our approach to building.
