We built this little cabin in the fall of 2007.
It is a hybrid timber frame/strawbale building. There is an exposed
timber frame supporting the loft floor and roof from the front wall
to the middle. It incorporates 3 live-edge posts and a tapered post.
The back wall has a structural frame buried in the straw.
It has a timber framed porch along the front.
Easy to heat in winter, and a lovely place to sit by the garden
in the summer.
